white nights
Blake Lively at the Swarovski Crystallized New York City store opening. This simple but sexy dress gets me going... and the mesh cut outs don't hurt. Source: Faded Youth Blog.

the beach
Karmen Pedaru in an editorial for Last Magazine. For me, summer's all about the sun and the beach. My backyard is my favourite place lately. I also discovered this urban beach downtown in my city of Toronto that I can't get enough of. It's man-made but it's by the lake and it's perfect for my current state of lazy days. lotsa lace
Take a look at some of my fave looks from 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2010. Loving: the lace, the casualness, and the rolled up skirt in the last photo. Source: Style.com.

hiatus

Source: modelcouture.
I'm back after a ten day hiatus in London, England. In terms of street style, anything goes. So many more people will wear knockout heels during the day, on the subway, in a park than here in Toronto. I wish I could do the same without getting death stares or cat calls...
In terms of shopping, I did a lot of perusing stores but I didn't end up buying too much in the end. I found that all the vintage stores I checked out had a "boutique" feel which meant they marked up the prices. I like my thrifts cheap... you know, like Value Village cheap.
Buys worth mentioning:
- harem pants (I finally did it!)
- cropped floral top
- Marc by Marc canvas tote
- zip-up black skirt
- vintage black see-through top from Portobello Road
Even though it was kind of nice being away from the virtual world, I'm glad to be reunited with my MacBook. I feel so out of touch with all my favourite blogs and it's times like these you realize how many endless hours you spend online. Time well wasted I reckon'!

Sure, it looks great in these photographs but how would you really wear these cheeky numbers? Savant skirt on I don't like Mondays via Bleach Black.
