givenchy couture spring 2010

Riccardo Tisci rung my bells in his 2010 spring couture collection for the Givenchy fashion house. His inspiration for the show came from what he calls "this strong, erotic phase of Parisian women." Tisci's obvious obsession with feathers would hands down make me cave to my so-called vegetarian diet. The collection was a mélange of androgynous but festive tuxedos, rock-and-roll panda eyes and ultra-feminine ruffles. The photos I've chosen are all very cream and black, but the show also included rich jewel hues that brought out the glam-rock in the collection, check out the rest of the collection here. mark fast spring 2010

Kudos to the whole team for featuring a couple plus-sized models. The collection was demonstrably inspired by Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich, her straight-up fearlessness and attitude, no less. The 28 year old Canadian also sizes his signature knit garments alphabetically not numerically. Talk about change. Photos: Elle.

portraits

Marloes and Abbey Lee shot by Terry Richardson and featured on his newest venture, his pretty damn cool Tumbler, aptly named, Terry's Diary. Check it out, it features a load of low-key shots with his high-profile friends including Agyness Dean, Lindsay, and Miranda Kerr including an awwww-inducing shot of Josh Harnett and his puppy.

Reborn is one of my favourite Montreal boutiques nestled (hidden, almost) in the hub of the Old Port. Thank you to my friend Hayley for putting me on to the shop. They carry some of my most lusted after designers such as Acne, Preen, Raf Simons, Raf by Raf Simons, Alexander Wang, T by Alexander Wang, Drkshdw by Rick Owens, Complex Geometries, Filippa K, Opening Ceremony, Rad Hourani and Gareth Pugh. I decided to raid their website and share a few pieces I'm currently coveting. I can rarely afford anything at Reborn but it's where I go when I've got some cash for some dark and structured pieces. I swear to you, the entire store is black, maybe, just maybe, with some specs of white.
